Go green this summer

Summer is prime time for painting interiors.

Warmer days mean faster drying, windows can stay open, and with less moisture hanging around, you’re far more likely to get a decent finish.

One of the biggest barriers to getting started is deciding on a colour.

The best advice we’ve heard? If it makes your heart sing, it’s the right colour, don’t worry what other people think.

If you want to get more technical, Dulux offer some great education and inspiration on their website, or, go and speak to the Dulux specialists at Waimate ITM.

Paint matching tips:

Waimate ITM offers an in-store colour matching service. Bring in an image, a colour name, or a paint sample about the size of a 50 cent coin.

Green works (almost) everywhere

If you’re stuck on what colour to choose, green is a safe bet - and a good one.

Shades range from neutral to very dramatic and it works well with most finishings: timber, white, black, stone, brass.

We’ve matched inspiration images with Dulux paints to get you started, using Dulux’s Colour Atlas. Always trial an area using a test pot from ITM before you paint, the light in your space can change the colour significantly.
